Maddy McGee, P.I., written by Britt Baker
Follow private investigator Madison “Maddy” McGee and her team as they attempt to solve cases for which the proper authorities don’t have the time. In Maddy’s world robots walk the streets alongside humans, and crime is still as rampant as ever.
They’ve only known each other for a few years, but these three college grads are almost like family to each other. They all grew up very differently—financially, psychologically, socially—but the chemistry between the trio is perfect. So when Maddy suggested the idea they travel to a new location every year or so as small-time private investigators, the other two didn’t hesitate to agree.
You can follow maddymcgeepi right here on Tumblr. Britt Baker has also has a short story being made into a movie! Subject 1 ”is the story of an almost genetically perfect human…re-stationed to Mars as her one human flaw threatens to destroy her chances of survival on Earth. There she battles her inner demons, and others imprisoned in the station’s cells, known as ‘Subjects’.” Awesome.

Stampede: Jessica’s Story by Chantelle Awere
Youth crime is on the rise in England as the gap between social classes increases. Resulting in an increase in street “gangs.” To tackle this problem the government made a plan to reform these unruly teenagers by giving these youths an incentive. Which was providing them with their own housing and “pocket” money but only if they study a course of the government’s choice, stay out of trouble and attend classes as often as necessary. A quick fix to a very complicated problem.
Stampede: Jessica’s story is about a troubled angry girl stuck under one of the government’s incentives and her empathetic classmate named Ryam who befriends her. But as Jessica slowly falls back into street gang culture, Ryam also finds himself falling in with her as he tries to help her to stop. Deep into a downward spiral of fight clubs, hatred and gang rivalry. Will both of them get out of it alive or will it end tragically? Is there any hope for a hurt and struggling youth?
Stampede was inspired by her life growing up in South London and the racial and class disparities and youth alienation she observed. Chantelle’s on tumblr as eternalbeliever12

M.F.K. by Nilah Magruder
In a world of sleeping gods, a broken government, and a fragile peace held in the hands of the corrupt, one youth must find the strength to stand up against evil and save humanity.
This story is not about that youth.
It’s about Abbie, who just wants to get to the mountain range called the Potter’s Spine, scatter her mother’s ashes, and then live out her life in sweet, blissful solitude. Unfortunately, everyone she meets wants to either whine at her about their woes, tag along on her quest, arrest her for no reason, or blow her to bits.
Journeys are hard on the social recluses of the world.

Camodad by Hannah Krieger
Camodad is a webcomic! My webcomic. It currently updates with a short comic every other Wednesday.
I never meant for there to be an overarching theme or plot, but nearly half of the comics in the archives are about Tchad. So, if you happen to peruse this site, I hope you like overly muscular doofuses. I obviously do!
It’s called “Camodad” because this site is named after my dad, who wears camouflage sometimes, and is a dad. Hi, dad! You’re my site. I know you’re very proud. I love you too. Mwah! Mwaaaaah.
Hannah Krieger is the one who writes and draws this comic; that’s me. I’m a senior illustration major at School of Visual Arts in NYC.
Like probably a lot of you, I first memorably encountered Hannah’s work with her comic Bendytoots. On the notes of her latest comic, she mentions she working on some secret longer comics projects, and I suspect Bendytoots is to blame for bringing her work to the attention of everyone on Tumblr, some of whom work for people who publish longer comics. (This is all wild speculation and I make no warranty about the veracity of these assertions.) Anyway, Hannah’s on Tumblr as hkrieg.
Zap!, art by Pascalle Lepas
In an unspecified future, the Galactic Earth Federation, or G.E.F, has steadily grown and conquered planet after planet. The story centers, however, around the captain and crew of the spaceship Excelsior—the only ship in the galaxy that actually picks its captain. As the narrative begins, the ship picks a new captain. This happens to be Zap Vexler, much to the consternation of Excelsior’s crew.
Zap! has been running since 2003 and is currently on its final chapter, so there’s plenty to read and you’ll either catch up in time to anticipate the end, or soon be able to read a whole run without waiting for an update!
Pascalle is lepas here on Tumblr.
White Noise by Melinda Timpone
White Noise is a full color webcomic, a scifi, post apocalyptic, super hero kinda thing. The story follows Wren, who has left his home in the Deadlands after an attack by the mysterious group known as the Herald. He’s made his way to the States, where he must keep his origins a secret or risk elimination by their uncompromising justice system, while he tries to decide on a course of action. He also has a tail! And certain freaky abilities

What It Takes by KEZ
Six years after the human race is nearly destroyed in a complete clusterfuck of circumstance, those that are left have to figure out how to survive in a world they never anticipated outside of nightmares. With over 97% of the global population dead, the majority of cities are are empty, and those still occupied are controlled by gangs warring for control of limited resources. The modern world has ceased to exist, and the weak are exploited by the strong. In short, there is no government, no comforts, and no place for compassion in the cruel, new world. But there is hope. A City in a Place (or rather, A SIT-E in APPLEYS) is said to have an elected government, working technology, and the ability to protect its resources. The City is also looking for new recruits…so long as they meet certain qualifiications. Too bad everyone wants what they’ve got!
Colbey is a martial artist who survives the end of the world. Armed with knowledge, experience and a machete, she is searching through what’s left for a man named Peter Wolfe.
KEZ makes me look like a total slob, she runs two webcomics (one of which just ended and she is adapting into a prose novel) while in medical school. She also wrote her undergraduate thesis on The Art of Webcomics! Can you say “coolest doctor ever”? She is also a self-described “netflix addict and Terry Pratchett junkie.” You can find her here on Tumblr as kezhound.

Bad Reputation by Lily Hoyda
Bad Reputation is the story of an ugly pirate and her eager crew. It also involves some voodoo, and some rock n’ roll. The whole thing is rather complicated.
A Redtail’s Dream by Minna Sundberg
"A Redtail’s Dream" is a webcomic telling the tale of a young man and his dog on a very much involuntary journey on the other side of the Bird’s Path, in an artificially created dream existence. As the only ones aware of their unusual situation, the duo has been given the task of bringing their fellow villagers back into their own reality before their souls are passed on to the realms of Tuonela. And the two are attempting to do so with zero enthusiasm.

Sticky Comics by Christiann MacAuley
Sticky Comics is my (mostly) humorous bunch of random drawings, scrawlings, and comics. (If you Google “sticky comics”, you will find there’s an erotic comic series called “Sticky”, but unfortunately, that’s not my work.)…Cartooning makes me laugh, which is one of my favorite things to do ever.
