You may recognize the influences here - I took some design cues for our heroines from myself and resident lifelong Bubblegum cosplayer / viral video superstar Angelina.

Ladies’ Night at Strange Adventures in Halifax

After hours on Leap Day, Strange Adventures will be hosting an exclusive, ladies only event featuring cupcakes, discounts, trivia, and prizes!

Faith Erin Hicks (Friends with Boys, The War at Ellsmere) and Jordyn Bochon (Spera) will be on hand for signings, and Tumblr’s own comic star Kate Leth will be there working her usual retail gig (but I’m sure she’ll be happy to sign her Locke & Key appearances and other merch!)

On Facebook, 119 ladies have already RSVP’d, how can you miss such a party?  At the very least, go to piss off this guy.  And bring your comics-curious friends!

Locke and Key: Clockworks #3, includes story by Kate Leth

So! I’m doing a comic in another comic! I was asked to draw up something for The Strange Talent of Luther Strode, a 6-issue miniseries by Justin Jordan, Tradd Moore & Felipe Sobreiro. I love it. It’s violent, gruesome, funny and beautifully coloured. Not for the faint of heart or stomach.

Plus, I got to draw some guts!

PS: The second guy in the first panel is definitely an ode to For Lack of a Better Comic.

You guys see this picture right up here? This is a cover of an upcoming Locke and Key one-shot, available everywhere mid-November, called The Guide to the Known Keys.

And you guys… you guys?

My comic is going to be in it.

Not only that, but my comics are going to be in more issues. Future issues. Maybe even all of the issues until the end of the series.

I want not to panic, I want not to overreact, but I am so excited I can’t deal with it!
