Look who got her (first ever!) letter published in Mystic #2!  Smack dab in the middle of the letter column, too! Here’s what it says:

To Willow, David, Jeanine, and everyone else who made this book happen,

I had been anticipating Mystic #1 ever since it was first rumored— I’ve been a big fan of Ms. Wilson’s since her GN Cairo, and have been enjoying the hell out of the other Crossgen revival titles. The more I found out about it—the magical world it takes place in, Mr. Lopez’s art and Ms. Conner’s cover—the more excited I got, and it was the first book I read out of that week’s stack.
It was everything I could ever have wanted in a comic. Since I was teenager, I’ve devoured any book that had young girls and boys learning magic and causing socio-political trouble—a subgenre I have found a dearth of in comics.  But Mystic fits perfectly into the company of my favorite fantasy literature, by the likes of Tamora Pierce, J.K. Rowling, and Philip Pullman.  I eagerly await the next three issues and beg that there will be more beyond that!
