As I’ve covered before, Renae De Liz (of the beautiful Last Unicorn adaptation) has assembled an astonishing array of female creators for a new anthology— Womanthology. From mainstream creators like Gail Simone, Ann Nocenti, Devin Grayson, and June Brigman, to indie artists like Ming Doyle, Stephanie Buscema, and Fiona Staples, to animation director Lauren Montgomery, to Bonnie Burton, founder of Grrl.com, and even the voice of JEM, Samantha Newark!
The Womanthology (with its theme “Heroic”) is due to be released by IDW on December 7th. And while all profits will be going to charity, they still need to raise $25,000 for production costs.
That’s where Kickstarter comes in! They still have about $20,000 to go, and there are some great bonuses up there for your pledge ($50 for a copy of the book!) Donate what you can, this promises to be one of the greatest anthologies of at least the decade.
