Cathy Guisewite has done a series of videos for Makers, an initiative between AOL and PBS featuring women pioneers in their field. She discusses her unconventional start to her cartooning career, the (as of yet still unsolved!) pressures of work-life balance of a first-generation second-wave feminist, and what feminism means to her— especially as one regularly accused of being unfeminist.
I highly recommend you check them out, and then go wild on the rest of the site! So many wonderful women contributed. I’m going to move on to Nichelle Nichols now!
