Not exactly Ladies Making Comics, but here’s an article by John Byrne about the old British girls’ comics and the unexpected SF elements in them.  I’d kill to see a collection sampling various British girls’ comics stories, but this will have to do for now.

The article was published in the March 2010 issue of SFX Magazine (and I’m giving away a copy on BookMooch)

For more information on British girls’ comics (and British comics in general), check out Graham Kibble-White’s The Ultimate Book of British Comics, an encyclopedia of all British comics published from 1937 to 2005.
